The beautiful Lions Tigers & Bears ranch is located just outside of Alpine, California in sunny San Diego County. The ranch is 93 acres in size. There is a volunteer office, picnic area, barn, farm animal encounter area and the habitats for our rescued big cats. Part of the barn serves as an onsite medical care center which allows us to perform routine medical exams and minor surgeries without transporting the cats.

Where Members Dollars Go

Lions Tigers & Bears is currently raising funds to build a new habitat called Conservation & Education Station.  The facility is designed to help preserve a portion of Southern California's ecological heritage while educating residents about the natural role these cats play in San Diego's wild lands.  Conservation & Education Station includes a 4,300-square-foot sleeping area with a concrete pad and 12-foot fence with the top enclosed for the safety of both animals and people. Another 700 square feet of enclosed access/egress pathways and horse-trailer access (for transporting animals to vets, etc.) is an integral part of the enclosure. A water feature will provide cats with recreation and hydration and an irrigation system will feed the water feature and bring in water for plants, cleaning and fire suppression.  With this new station, Lions Tigers & Bears will be able to house up to four mountain lions in an environment removed from, but still accessible to, people.  Once the habitat is built, we expect to continue work with several nonprofits and several government agencies.  All of these are resources for the rescued wild animals that will inhabit the Conservation & Education Station.  In order to complete the initial phase of Conservation & Education Station, Lions Tigers & Bears will need to raise $98,840.
