Blossom and DelilahUpdate  

The recent testing on Blossom revealed an unidentified mass or possible enlargement of her pylorus, the area between the stomach and the intestines, but several experts who have reviewed the scans are still uncertain as to its origin. Unfortunately, a biopsy was inconclusive.

We will be conducting complete physicals on her and Delilah this week, and hope to have a more definitive answer to her loss of appetite.  She has started to eat a little better and her digestive system seems to be working well.

The costs for the endoscopy, x-rays, sonograms and labs totalled $3800.

Both bears are in dire need of dental work, and  the cost for that will run about $2000 for each bear.

We knew when we rescued these girls that there would be unexpected costs, but it's always impossible to know until you get them home just how much it will cost to restore them to health. But we made a promise to Blossom and Delilah and with your help, we will give them the best care possible and provide them a healthy, stable and safe environment to live out their lives.
