Thank you so much for all your support! Thanks to you our Wild in the Country event was a great success. And a big special thanks as well to KUSI, KSON, and the Holding Hands Foundation.
All the lion cubs received names. The two females are Suri which means "princess", and Jillian which means "youthful". The male cub is Bakari, "one with great promise".
The big excitement at the sanctuary is that we have broken ground on the lion enclosure. It will include a pool, a den, and lots of rocks to climb on. The lion cubs will be displaying their finest in the new enclosure during our annual Between the Stripes event on October 7, 2007. A real must see!
