Scout Troops

Girl Scouts, Scouts BSA, and chaperones! Did you know you can come spend part of your day at Lions Tigers & Bears? During your guided educational visit you will meet our 65+ rescued animals and learn about native wildlife, captive exotic animals, animal trafficking, the exotic animal trade, and ways you can help make a difference for these amazing animals.

There are so many ways as a Girl Scout, to live up to the Girl Scout Law, and help give back to the rescued animals of Lions Tigers & Bears. Visit and earn a badge, volunteer with your troop, or choose our sanctuary as part of your Bronze, Silver or Gold Award project!

Badges & Patches

Girl Scouts - during your visit to Lions Tigers & Bears you have the potential to complete the steps for a badge to go on the front of your vest. Each level of Girl Scout has a badge to earn. You should speak with your troop leader to help you identify which badge will work best. It is up to you, your fellow scouts and troop leader to work through the badge steps based on what you learned from your visit to our sanctuary. A fun patch is also available - just head to the Lions Tigers & Bears gift shop to purchase! The badges you can earn include:

There are so many ways as a Scouts BSA to live up to your Scout Oath and help give back to the rescued animals of Lions Tigers & Bears. Visit and earn a badge, volunteer with your troop, or choose our sanctuary as part of your next group service project or Eagle Project!

Badges & Patches

Browse through your manual for eligible merit badge opportunities that would tie into a visit to Lions Tigers & Bears. The sanctuary is set within a natural setting of Southern California, and is home to more than 65 animals ranging, 19 species. We have local, native, and exotic wildlife that we provide care to each day. During your visit, you will learn about the ways you can help conserve these animals and their habitats in the future.

Service Projects

There are many ways to focus your next Boy Scout service project on helping the rescued animals of our sanctuary. Over the years we've had many Boy Scouts complete their Eagle Project at Lions Tigers & Bears, from building fences for our livestock, to constructing benches for our guests - each one makes a difference.If you have an idea, we would love to hear from you! Visiting Lions Tigers & Bears with your Troop

Lions Tigers & Bears inspires learning and awareness of the exotic animals and big cats and bears we rescue and why it's critical that we stop the cruel exotic animal trade. Scout troops are welcome to visit and explore our sanctuary in Southern California. Group and Educational Visits are scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, by appointment. Your group will enjoy a two-hour guided visit of our scenic sanctuary and historic ranch where you will get to meet the exotic animals and big cats and learn their heartwarming rescue stories.
Scout Troops - Groups of 10 or More
$20.00 donation per Scout
$38.00 donation per Adult Chaperone

Transportation

We can accommodate 15 passenger vans, charter buses, and RVs. No yellow school buses. Parking is available at no-cost for personal vehicles. Use resources wisely and carpool if possible! For more information or for directions, please call the office at (619) 659-8078 .
