Recently, we received a call pleading to help two servals - named Junior and Miss Kitty - who are being kept by private owners in Arizona. One of Junior and Miss Kitty's owners passed away suddenly, and the owner's spouse has been left with two servals and no means to care for them. After the tragic passing of her spouse, this private owner has now been forced to move out of her family home and Junior and Miss Kitty cannot come with her. She had no choice but to leave Junior and Miss Kitty behind, but has been visiting daily to give them food and water. This private owner is heartbroken, but with no contingency plan in place, she is running out of options for Junior and Miss Kitty.
Lions Tigers & Bears was founded to help animals just like this. We would like to save Junior and Kitty, but first we need your help.
Will you please donate to help us cover rescue, veterinary and lifetime care for Junior and Miss Kitty? The cats are approximately eight or nine years old. Upon rescue, they will require an assessment by a veterinarian to provide a complete physical examination.
Additionally, new dens will need to be constructed and additional habitat features will need to be added including additional chain link fencing, roofing, and a shade structure to accommodate both cats once they complete their quarantine. All of these necessities quickly add up!
We cannot do this important work without you! Will you please donate today, to help us rescue these beautiful servals? Unfortunately, Junior and Miss Kitty's story is not uncommon. When tragedy strikes, and no contingency plan is in place, it is the animals in the family that often suffer most. One important lesson that we can learn from Junior and Miss Kitty's story is the importance of having a plan in place for all your beloved pets - whether they are cats, dogs, horses or even fish - so if something were to happen to you, your pets are cared for.
Junior and Miss Kitty have been rescued, thanks to you! Right now, our team is helping them settle into life at our sanctuary. However, their rescue is just step one of a long road ahead to provide quality lifetime care.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has helped make Junior and Miss Kitty's rescue possible. We cannot do this important work without you! If you haven't yet donated, please consider making a donation now to ensure these beautiful animals' lifetime care! Your donation makes a HUGE difference for Junior and Miss Kitty!
