Meet Zoe: What Netflix’s Tiger King didn’t tell you

At Lions Tigers & Bears, we believe every animal deserves a chance at a happy, healthy life. Zoe and her sister Jem, two tigers rescued from dire conditions, embody the resilience and strength that drives our mission. Their journey from uncertainty to security highlights the importance of compassion and the critical role our supporters play in providing a lifetime safe haven for these magnificent tigers.

A Temporary Haven

When cases like these are under investigation, Lions Tigers & Bears acts as a temporary sanctuary until final decisions are made regarding the animals' fate. During this period, we bear the responsibility of covering all their care expenses, even though they are not yet permanent residents. This is where support from compassionate individuals like YOU becomes invaluable, helping us provide the best care possible for these animals in transition. When Jem & Zoe arrived at Lions Tigers & Bears, they suffered from severe malnutrition among other serious issues requiring immediate medical attention.
