Savannah, along with her serval companion Eli and Lily the white tiger, found themselves in a unique and challenging situation. They were the last three animals remaining at an event venue in southern California, which had closed its doors in 2021. The facility made the decision that they were no longer able or willing to care for these animals, and in their time of need, they reached out to Lions Tigers & Bears assistance.

1. Savannah’s Birth
Date: January 19, 2001
Significance: The start of Savannah’s journey as a serval, born into a life that would eventually bring her unique challenges and resilience.

2. Rescue Mission
Date: April 27, 2021
Significance: Lions Tigers & Bears stepped in to rescue Savannah, Eli the serval, and Lily the white tiger from an event venue in Southern California that could no longer care for them. This marked the beginning of a new chapter for Savannah in a safe and nurturing environment.

3. Eli’s Passing
Date: Mid-2021
Significance: The loss of Eli, Savannah’s serval companion, was a bittersweet moment. It highlighted the urgency and importance of providing specialized care for elderly animals like Savannah, who also requires extra attention due to her age.

Ongoing
Significance: Since her rescue, Savannah has been receiving dedicated care at Lions Tigers & Bears. Her advanced age and health needs are a testament to the sanctuary's commitment to ensuring her comfort and quality of life.
